Pregnancy is a time of beautiful transformation, both physically and emotionally. Prenatal yoga is a gentle yet effective practice designed to support you through these changes, nurturing both your body and mind as you prepare for the journey ahead.
In our prenatal yoga classes, we focus on safe, tailored movements that strengthen your body, support your pelvic floor, and promote flexibility. We target areas that often become tight or tense during pregnancy, helping to relieve common discomforts like lower back pain, hip soreness, and tension in the shoulders.
Through mindful breathwork and intentional movement, prenatal yoga also encourages relaxation, reducing stress and anxiety. It helps you cultivate mental clarity and emotional balance, setting the stage for a calmer, more focused approach to labour and delivery.
No previous yoga experience is required, and you'll be welcomed into a supportive, caring environment designed to help you connect with both your body and your growing baby.
And as a valued prenatal yogi, you also have access to purchase our Mumma-to-Be Package - the next step in preparing for motherhood. Testimonials

“I learned so much from Amanda’s prenatal yoga classes. She gently guided us through positions appropriate to whatever stage of our pregnancy we were in and she always has good advice for how to modify things to suit us. I loved how each session had a theme (support, mantras, and labour itself) and that there was always time to chat about how we were each feeling and progressing. It meant that I got to make new friends and learn from other mums-to-be too. The Facebook group Amanda created has also been a great way to connect and share advice. I can’t recommend Amanda and The Mumma hub more highly!” - Sarah

“This was my second time at prenatal yoga and it was so beneficial to me in not only staying active but also learning techniques, like breathing and affirmations to help me through my pregnancy and labour. I couldn’t have done it without these techniques! I felt really supported both by Amanda and the other women in the class to move my body in a way that felt best for me each class and enjoyed the time to connect with myself and my baby. I’m looking forward to doing Mums & Bubs Yoga again for the second time and I know both me and my baby are in safe hands.” Pru
Prenatal Yoga & Mumma-to-be package FAQ’s:
-
Not at all! Prenatal yoga is suitable for beginners as well as those with previous yoga experience. The classes are adapted for pregnancy and focus on gentle movement, breathing, and relaxation, so everyone can participate at their own level.
-
Ideally you can commence prenatal yoga in your second trimester (around 12-14 weeks). However, if you're in your first trimester and have practiced yoga leading up to your pregnancy, feel free to reach out about starting earlier. It's always best to check with your doctor or midwife first to make sure it's safe for you.
-
Wear comfortable clothes that allow you to move freely, a water bottle and then we will take care of the rest. We have a mat, bolster, blanket and blocks all ready for you.
-
It’s essential to discuss any pregnancy complications or medical concerns with your healthcare provider before starting prenatal yoga. When you sign up, please be sure to share all relevant information on your student intake form. It’s also a good idea to check in with your instructor before each class, as your needs may change from week to week.
Conditions such as SI joint pain, pubic symphysis dysfunction (SPD), also known as pelvic girdle pain (PGP), and other pregnancy-related discomforts can often be addressed with modified poses to ensure your comfort and safety. Your yoga teacher will guide you through adjustments that suit your body, helping you practice safely and effectively.
-
Prenatal yoga can help relieve common pregnancy discomforts such as back pain, swollen feet, round ligament pain and nausea. It also helps improve flexibility, strength, and posture, which are all beneficial for carrying the extra weight of pregnancy and preparing for labour. The focus on breathwork can help you manage stress and create a sense of calm, which is especially helpful as you approach your due date.
-
If you miss a class, we offer options for make-up classes on the other prenatal yoga class during the week but this is all subject to availability.
-
Yes! Prenatal yoga helps you connect with your body and breath, which is incredibly helpful during labour. You'll learn breathing techniques to stay calm and focused, as well as positions to support your body through labour. There is always a pregnancy, birth or early motherhood theme each week to chat to the other Mumma’s-to-be and it’s a wonderful way to connect and prepare for childbirth both mentally and physically.
-
